Frequently asked questions

Know exactly what you are joining.

When can I book my first inspection?

After the first successful membership payment has been received.

When can I use the R750 labour credit?

Monthly members can use it after three consecutive successful monthly payments. Annual members who pay the full annual membership upfront may use it immediately.

Are materials included?

No. Materials are excluded from the membership and charged separately where maintenance or repair work requires them.

Do members pay call-out fees?

Active members within the approved service area do not pay a standard TBG call-out or assessment fee for genuine maintenance concerns. Repair work, materials, specialist services and after-hours services may still be chargeable.

What does priority assistance mean?

When an active member reports a maintenance problem, TBG will arrange attendance as soon as reasonably possible, subject to staff availability, existing commitments, weather, location and safety. It is not a 24-hour emergency-response guarantee.

How do I cancel?

Cancellation must be submitted in writing by email or WhatsApp with one calendar month's notice. TBG will confirm receipt in writing. Unused membership benefits end when the membership terminates, subject to the final membership agreement.

Important plan conditions

Home Care is maintenance support — not unlimited repairs.

These boundaries keep the plan affordable and sustainable for members.

Visual inspection

The annual inspection is non-destructive. Concealed defects, specialist testing, engineering and certification are outside the standard inspection.

Materials & larger work

Materials, repairs, replacements, renovations and specialist work are not included unless a benefit specifically says otherwise. Additional work is assessed and quoted.

Genuine call-outs

The no-fee member assessment benefit applies to genuine maintenance concerns. Repeated unnecessary or non-maintenance call-outs may be managed or charged by prior agreement.
